Program
Residential and commercial customers with Eversource or United Illuminating utilities can receive incentives to install energy storage in exchange for allowing the utility to use their battery to help manage energy on the electric grid.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Install
Select a Fortress Power approved installer. Your installer will submit an interconnection request and submit a Project Application via the Green Bank portal.
Authorize
After your system is commissioned, submit your system specifications to Fortress Power and sign the Energy Storage Solutions agreement emailed to you.
Get Paid
Your installer will receive the upfront incentive once we have verified the battery system is communicating and it is consistent with the application. You will receive the performance incentives directly from the Connecticut Green Bank.

HOW IT WORKS

Your utility dispatches part of your battery instead of dirty, expensive peaker plants when the grid is stressed. This helps keep your air clean and bills low.

Fortress Power will ensure your battery is recharged the next day from solar power.

The average power provided in each event across the season is calculated. This power level is used to calculate the summer or winter performance payment to the battery system owner.
ELIGIBILITY
Home and business owners are eligible for Energy Storage Solutions incentives if they:
- Own the premise where equipment is installed
- Have consistent and reliable Internet connection
- Charge their battery from an onsite solar system
- Own the following hardware:
Fortress Power Avalon
or Envy Inverters
Fortress Power Avalon,
eFlex 5.4, eVault Max Batteries
Fortress Power Avalon
Smart Energy Panel (SEP)
*Guardian required for eVault Max or eFlex systems
