Why Smart Homeowners Are Choosing eForce for Energy Independence

When the power goes out, will your home be ready? As extreme weather events and utility outages become more common, more homeowners are turning to battery energy storage systems (BESS) to protect their homes—and their peace of mind. But not all systems are created equal. Fortress Power’s new eForce stands out as a next-generation solution built for real-world reliability, performance, and long-term value. Here’s why eForce is the smarter choice for modern homeowners.

Reliable Power, Rain or Shine

Unlike some systems that struggle in extreme conditions, eForce is outdoor-rated and built to handle the elements. Whether you’re facing sweltering summers, icy winters, or sudden blackouts, the system’s weatherproof enclosure and built-in temperature regulation keep it running smoothly.

Long-Term Value with LFP Technology

At the core of eForce is Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry—renowned for safety, longevity, and stability. Each battery module is rated for 8,000+ cycles, delivering years of reliable backup power with minimal degradation. That means fewer replacements, fewer worries, and more money saved over time.

Scalable for Your Needs

Whether you want to power a critical circuit or your entire home, eForce grows with you. Start with one 9.6kWh battery module and scale up to 153kWh as your energy needs evolve. Thanks to its stackable, modular design and Wireless Quick Plugs, expanding your system is as easy as plugging in a new battery—no rewiring or complicated upgrades required.

Earn Revenue with VPP Support

In select regions, eForce doesn’t just save energy—it can make you money. With Virtual Power Plant (VPP) compatibility, homeowners can participate in grid-support programs that compensate you for storing and supplying energy when demand spikes. Your battery becomes a smart financial asset, not just a backup plan.

Built for Fast, Simple Installation

A sleek system shouldn’t come with installation headaches. Fortress Power designed eForce with homeowners and installers in mind. The eWay wireway system, built-in conduit ports, and bolt-on inverter design mean your system is up and running faster—with less time, labor, and disruption to your home.

Ready to Take Control of Your Energy Future?

Whether you’re preparing for outages, lowering your electric bills, or stepping into off-grid living, eForce puts control, savings, and security in your hands. Backed by Fortress Power’s trusted performance and next-level engineering, it’s not just a battery—it’s your energy independence plan. Learn more about eForce and request a quote today.

Title 24 and Battery Storage: How California C&I Properties Can Comply, Save, and Thrive

California continues to lead in clean energy policy, with Title 24 as a key driver of change. For commercial and industrial (C&I) property owners, these codes are more than compliance—they’re a strategic way to reduce costs, boost resilience, and support a cleaner grid.

At Fortress Power, we help California businesses turn compliance into competitive advantage with advanced, scalable battery energy storage (BESS) systems designed for seamless solar integration.

What Is Title 24 — and Why Does It Now Require Energy Storage?

Title 24 is California’s Building Standards Code that sets energy efficiency regulations for residential and non-residential buildings. Recent code updates focus on reducing grid demand, lowering emissions, and expanding the use of renewable energy — especially in commercial applications.

One key outcome: solar and battery storage systems are now required in many new nonresidential construction projects, especially those ≥10,000 square feet. Buildings like offices, schools, warehouses, retail spaces, and restaurants must be “solar ready” and often must include onsite storage to help manage peak loads and support grid reliability.

How Title 24 Affects Solar and Battery System Sizing

Title 24 doesn’t prescribe a one-size-fits-all solar system. Instead, PV sizing is based on the building’s expected energy usage through performance modeling.

  • Mandatory Solar Ready: Most new nonresidential buildings ≥10,000 ft² must allocate at least 15% of available roof area (after accounting for skylights, HVAC, etc.) for solar and energy storage equipment.
  • Modeled Offset: Using approved simulation tools (like CBECC-Com or EnergyPro), designers determine the appropriate PV size to offset a portion of the building’s annual electricity load.

Battery Storage Requirements: If PV is required, battery storage is often mandatory. This is unless the project qualifies for an exemption.

  • Battery Sizing Formula: Title 24 requires energy storage systems to meet the lesser of 5 kWh of storage per 1 kW of PV installed. Or, the building’s expected peak demand.
  • Minimum Discharge Power: Batteries must support a 25% discharge rate. Meaning, a 40 kWh system must deliver at least 10 kW.

Together, these sizing guidelines ensure that buildings have the capacity to store excess solar generation and shift load to off-peak hours, easing demand on the grid and lowering utility costs.

Why Battery Storage Is a Smart Investment for California Businesses

Adding a commercial battery storage system doesn’t just help with Title 24 compliance — it also delivers long-term operational and financial benefits:

  • Peak Demand Management: Reduce utility bills by storing energy during off-peak hours and using it during peak pricing periods.
  • Backup Power During Outages: Ensure energy continuity during grid disruptions, blackouts, and wildfire-related shutoffs.
  • Sustainability Leadership: Support your ESG goals by lowering emissions and increasing reliance on clean, onsite power.
  • Incentives & Rebates: State and federal programs can significantly boost ROI and reduce payback periods.
