The Fortress Power mobile experience has been updated to give installers and homeowners a faster, more intuitive way to monitor and manage energy systems. With the introduction of the Fortress Power PRO App and Owner App launching April 6th, users now have clearer control, improved visibility, and a more streamlined workflow from installation to everyday use.

If you’re using a Fortress Power system, here’s what to know.

What Are the Fortress Power PRO App and Owner App?

Fortress Power now offers two dedicated mobile apps built for different users:

• Fortress Power PRO App for installers
• Fortress Power Owner App for homeowners

Each app is designed to simplify system setup, monitoring, and energy management based on how you use your system.

Key Features and Benefits

The updated apps improve how you monitor and manage your solar + storage system. Here’s what you can do:

• Commission and set up systems faster
• Monitor system performance in real time
• Navigate a cleaner, more intuitive interface
• Control energy usage and system settings with ease

How to Update Your App

To ensure uninterrupted access to your system:

• Download or update via the App Store or Google Play
• Enable auto-updates when possible
• Update the app when prompted if you’re running an older version

App Updates and Changes

Here’s what has changed:

• The Fortress Power Home App is now the Owner App
• The Installer App is now the PRO App
• Fortress Power has discontinued the Guardian App
• The Envy App remains available

Compatibility and System Requirements

To ensure full system functionality:

• A Guardian Wi-Fi Dongle is required for Envy series inverters
• A White-Box Guardian is compatible with:
  • eForce
  • eBoost
  • eFlex MAX
  • eVault MAX batteries

Firmware Requirements

Check your system before commissioning:

• No update needed if firmware is version 4.0.16 or higher
• Update the system if firmware is in the 2.x.x range
• Update the system if it has been offline or has weak connectivity

Note: Systems below 0.4.45 cannot update through the PRO App

Will This Affect Your System?

• VPP program participants are not affected
• Those who participated in our beta testing will receive separate instructions
• All other users should update their app to continue using their system
