Power Your Home with San Diego’s New Battery Incentive Program

In the vibrant city of San Diego, a groundbreaking initiative is rolling out to help homeowners secure energy storage and fortify the electrical grid. The San Diego Battery Incentive Program, spearheaded by San Diego Community Power(SDCP), a local community-driven non-profit public energy agency, is offering a unique opportunity for residents to enhance their home’s energy efficiency, resilience, and even earn money in the process.

Who is Behind The San Diego Whole-Home Battery Innovative Program?

SDCP is a public community-driven non-profit that supports the communities in the San Diego area including the Cities of San Diego, Chula Vista, Encinitas, Imperial Beach, La Mesa and National City, as well as the unincorporated communities of San Diego County. Fortress Power, a U.S.-based energy storage company with over 35,000 battery installations across the US is participating in helping homeowners make the most of this opportunity and secure high-quality energy storage systems that qualify for the program

What’s the Offer?

The San Diego Battery Incentive Program is designed to help you, the homeowner, secure energy storage for your solar system and rewards you for contributing to the stability and efficiency of the local grid. By installing a new Fortress Power energy storage system, paired with your solar setup (new or existing), you can receive an immediate upfront payback ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. But that’s not all. Every time your battery dispatches energy to meet both your home’s needs and serves the grid, you earn an additional performance incentive. The larger your battery, the bigger the benefit

A) Yes, this is an incredible opportunity. That’s why we are working to help make homeowners aware and lined up to apply for the program once the opportunity goes live! These types of incentives don’t come around everyday, so if you’re looking for a sign to get energy storage, this is it!
